Moody Lighting
My kids love skulls. They once saw a neon pink one in a trendy decor catalog, and they've been obsessed ever since. I even once overheard them calling Skull on their play phone to see when he would be coming over to play. Kids are weird. It goes without saying that they love these skull lamps that currently adorn our mantelpiece. They're quick to make and provide dinner conversation for the toddler set. And maybe adults, too?
What you will need:
- White drink bottle, glass jar, clear cookie tin, or whatever clear or white container that you have on hand
- Black foam sheet or opaque black paper, thick enough to block out some light
- Glue stick
- Craft Knife
- Battery-powered tea light (we got ours from the dollar store)
- Skull print-out on standard printer paper
The local store stopped carrying this particular yogurt drink, so I ended up scouring my home for additional clear containers and came up with a clear acrylic cookie tin and an old spaghetti sauce jar. For these containers, I simply cut a strip of white paper to wrap along the inside surface.
